Swiss beauty brand, Valmont introduces PRIMARY, the company’s first microbiome-balancing skincare collection.

Formulated around prebiotics and probiotics, PRIMARY was created to fortify and promote a stable balance in the skin’s ecosystem and is designed to be used on its own or easily incorporated into any skincare routine.

The range features five products, all of which include three key ingredients that work both individually and in synergy with each other to enrich and strengthen the epidermis.

The first product, PRIMARY Veil, is a prepping mist applied after toning, that restores the skin with its milky emulsion enriched with lithium, that soothes the skin and makes it more receptive to subsequent steps in your skincare routine.

Next is PRIMARY Solution, a targeted blemish treatment with an antimicrobial peptide booster that alleviates minor imperfections while making them less visible.

PRIMARY Serum, with its active ingredients designed to regulate microcirculation, is claimed to offer a fast and effective solution for anyone suffering from redness.

PRIMARY Cream rapidly soothes irritation and reduces tightness with its fine, emollient texture while PRIMARY Pomade with passion fruit extract, mimosa wax, shea butter, jojoba esters, carrot and evening primrose oil is a next-generation balm created to provide intense nourishment that penetrates deep into the epidermis.

Valmont CEO, Sophie Guillon: “PRIMARY reflects my perception of contemporary cosmetics: smart, genderless and ageless. This collection is inspired by the healthy lifestyle we all strive for and integrates research led by prominent Californian doctors which upholds that unhealthy skin looks 10 years older.

“The five products in the collection should be used in your daily routine to provide the skin with fundamental ingredients to stay healthy.

"Even though we're facing difficult times due to COVID-19, we decided to maintain this launch, as we want to stay positive and contribute to the financial wellbeing of our global spa and retail partners.”

For the first time, Valmont is proud to incorporate the UltraHigh Temperature (UHT)
sterilisation procedure into select products within the new PRIMARY collection. UHT’s
pioneering technology is an entirely natural process that uses only heat to eliminate all
micro-organisms without altering the formula.

For the launch of PRIMARY, Valmont continues its philanthropic partnership with One
Drop Foundation for the fifth year in a row.

Created in 2007, One Drop’s mission ensures sustainable access to safe water and
sanitation for the world’s most vulnerable communities. During the first three months of the PRIMARY launch, Valmont will donate US$5 to One Drop for every product sold within the PRIMARY collection.
