A night on the beer is likely to leave you feeling far from sprightly the following morning.
However, a German brewery says its latest ale is enriched with ingredients that can maintain good health and slow down the ageing process.
Anti Aging Beer, from the Neuzelle Kloster Brewery in the former Eastern sector of the country, has been created by combining mineral water, algae and anti-oxidants with the more traditional beer ingredients of water, hops, yeast and barley.
The result is a beer that is rich in vitamins and minerals and claimed - amongst other things - to improve blood circulation; help combat acne, eczema and the onset of arteriosclerosis; boost the immune system and aid digestion.
So far, the company has importers in the U.S., Russia and South Korea, with the U.K. reportedly next on the list.
