Milky Way Ice Shake, launched by Cabana at the recent Hotelympia show, made the shortlist of the event’s Food & Drink New Products Awards.
The new drink, aimed at 5-12 year olds, is designed to offer an alternative to milk shakes and – being a dispense product – is claimed to be easier to serve.
The Ice Shake, latest of a number of Milky Way brand extensions, is free from artificial colours and lactose and comes in 10ltr bag in box refills. Delivery is from a bespoke machine into branded cups.
A further new product introduced by the company is Simpsons Squishee, the slush based drink made famous by The Simpsons cartoon characters. Produced for children from three to early teens, it is available in Orange Overload and Strawberry Splurge flavours and comes in 5ltr containers.
Also new is Starburst Ice Drink, based on the confectionery brand. The product comes in four flavours – Strawberry, Orange, Lemon & Lime and Tropical – and is packed in a 10ltr bag in box refills.
