Norseman tennis facility for Tyneside college

Supplier: Norseman Structures

More Norseman Structures details
Norseman Structures has built a four-court tennis facility - called Tennis@Churchill - for Churchill Community College in Wallsend, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The 38.0m wide x 64.6m long (125' x 212') indoor tennis facility allows players to participate in sport year round, even in the most adverse weather conditions.

The custom built turn-key project includes metal wall cladding up to 10ft (3.0m) high, personnel doors, roller shutter maintenance access door, lighting, backdrop nets and divider nets.

Lucy Roderick, assistant headteacher at the college said: "The Norseman structure is naturally bright, airy and accessible to all and really helps us in creating a 'wow' factor inside.

"With the support of the LTA and Sport England, we have been able to provide the opportunity for players of all skill levels and ages to improve their game in all weather conditions, all year round.

"It is a fantastic facility that will make a great contribution to the development of tennis particularly in North Tyneside, but also further afield in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear."
