Kompan's landmark new play sculpture

Supplier: Kompan (UK) Ltd

More Kompan (UK) Ltd details
New from Kompan, Bloqx is a 3D bouldering concept aimed at older kids aged 8-15.

A geometric climbing structure, Bloqx comprises six octagonal blocks, or modules, of different sizes and with plates, or faces, in different colours. Bloqx 1, rather bigger, can stand on its own whilst the others can be used together to create more complex climbing landscapes.

The plates have climbing grips in two different colours and sizes, a move intended to create variety in climbing tracks. Also, the grips are never placed identically, which Kompan explains gives every plate and every structure a certain uniqueness.

None of the grips are installed lower than 62cm to ensure that any climber of less than the indicated age group can access the top area.

All the blocks present different degrees of difficulty and these are not designed to be overcome at once but require training and movement planning.

Neither is BLOQX meant to be an easy climb, but instead needs a climber to use his or her abilities to master the structure.

Not just a playground or a sculpture or a climbing wall or a meeting space, Bloqx is also said to have been designed to create a visual landmark and create an attractive hot spot for both kids and adults to hang out at.
