Copri domes extend tennis at Culford

Supplier: CopriSystems Ltd

More CopriSystems Ltd details
CopriSystems has installed a 67m x 37m, four-dome interconnecting sports dome system at Culford Independent School in Bury St Edmunds.

Recognised for the development of high-performing tennis players, the school chose the dome design because it ticked the boxes for low maintenance, cost and longevity. The CopriSystems' design incorporates four domes, with each covering one court. The domes are interconnected beneath support beams at a height of 6m, each supported by a single vertical support post between courts. Side curtains extend the perimeter of the structure and can be opened up to give the illusion of playing in the open air.

The playing surface is Proflex® cushioned impervious acrylic, a top of the range medium/fast performance surface suitable for play at all levels up to the highest standard.

Accredited by the Lawn Tennis Association as a satellite performance centre, pupils at the school can now play tennis year round while membership of the school’s sports and tennis centre is also available to the local community for use at weekends, holidays and after-school hours.
