Granite Precision is currently updating Universal Studios Hollywood Citywalk’s music-video bigscreen and background music system in time for summer 2011.
The company originally installed Integrated Media Server (IMS) at Citywalk in 2007, which has allowed them to synchronise the audio, video, data display and lighting from a single product.
President Jeff Long said: "The IMS is designed to take advantage of a PC-based Windows system.
"However, the IMS utilises extremely specialised software that works underneath Windows.
"The reason this approach is so essential and innovative is that our code can keep running even if Windows crashes.
"The IMS has everything built-in. It's extremely cost-effective and highly scalable, allowing the user to control and manipulate an almost limitless array of media and other devices."
