Groin specialist Jerry Gilmore has created new compression shorts designed to help prevent and manage injuries in this part of the body.
Gilmore has treated professional sportsmen from around the world, including hundreds of Premiership and England international football players.
Created in partnership with Physioroom.com and the Harley Street Sports Enterprise, the shorts specifically target ‘Gilmore’s Groin’, an injury that affects predominantly young male athletes and is named after the specialist.
“The shorts aid core stability and maintain warmth, providing comfort and control to the areas where most injuries of this type occur,” said Gilmore. “It will enable players to continue playing where previously they may have not been able to, and will aid recovery and rehabilitation in instances where surgery or other treatments have been required.”
Gilmore Support Shorts are already available and have been designed to provide intimate but substantial support and enhanced stability. The shorts use multiple layers of floprene, a material which has specific stretchable properties.
