A lighter and more hygienic alternative to reusable towels

Interest in the Easydry towels was high at Leisure Industry Week
An innovative range of multiple-use disposable sports towels has launched in the health and fitness sector. Vytal Innovations unveiled the Easydry products at Leisure Industry Week, held at Birmingham’s NEC.

The Easydry Sports Shower Towel is designed to be a must-have for the kit bag. It is lightweight at just a few grammes but has the capacity to hold 10 times its own weight in water. Also launched is the Easydry Two-pack Sports Towels, comprising a towel for the user and another to protect equipment.

Both Easydry products have been created to be more hygienic, lighter, compact, faster-drying and at least three times as absorbent as a traditional cotton towel. They make use of patented ‘WaterWeave’ technology which employs high-pressure water jets to entangle the natural, chemical-free fibres and high-temperature ovens to dry the fabric and ensure the towel is inherently hygienic. This allows the towel to absorb so much water.

Vytal says they offer an alternative to reusable towels, saving on laundering costs and the need to stock bulkier towels. They can also be retailed at a low cost, encouraging clients who previously brought their own towels to reduce the size of their bulky kit bags.

The towels are biodegradable, recyclable and made using environmentally sustainable methods. They were first created in 2003 by Vytal’s CEO and founder Anne Butterly for the hair and beauty industry.
