WOW Company and Polin Waterparks announce a strategic distribution deal

Supplier: Wow Company

More Wow Company details
Wow Company Wave Balls will be distributed through Polin
The developer and manufacturer of the Wave Ball, WOW Company and global market leader in waterparks, Polin, will collaborate on future projects as part of the agreement.

The arrangement between WOW Company, based in Belgium and Polin Waterparks, Turkey, will allow Polin, whcih has more than 2,500 waterpark projects in 93 countries worldwide, to exclusively distribute WOW's Wave Ball low-energy wave-generating machines in 39 countries and work as WOW's global sales partner.

WOW Company create low-energy consumer wave generators based on the principle of resonance - technology which is extending into fields of aeronautical, automotive, medical and biochemistry industries through sisters companies like ACTE, WIN and WOW Technology.

The firm dedicated several years of research and development in its efforts to create a complete range of wave devices that were compliant with industrial quality standards and approved by most international safety-certification bodies, including UTE in France and TÜV in Germany.

It patented the technology and began commercially selling the Wave Ball in 1992. Today, more than 300 of the products are making waves in 46 countries worldwide and in facilities ranging from aquatic parks, campsites, public pools, recreational centers, resorts, aquariums, animal tanks, private pools and rescue and survival training centers.

The product works by combining sensors with powerful software and hardware to fully control the frequency and size of wave production. The system creates a first wave, which spreads through a pool. Then, once that wave reflects off the pool's walls, it returns to the generator, and a computer-management system then controls the required power to amplify (or decrease) the waves produced. The computer allows for real-time control of the waves based on the pool's environment, including the pool configuration and the fluctuation in the number of swimmers.

The arrangement between WOW and Polin will allow the two companies to work together to deliver the Wave Ball's unique, patented technology with both competitive pricing and expanded product offerings to the firms' customers. The companies aim to capture market share in new regions and industries that are looking to integrate artificial wave generators into their facilities and take advantage of the latest and most advanced technology.

Paolo Danub?o, sales manager for WOW, said: “The distribution agreement is a natural fit that will allow us to serve the growing demand for these types of products in the aquatics industry."

Naninne BELGIQUE
Our well known “Wave Ball” has been installed in more than 300 swimming pools in over 40 countries around the world. The Wave Ball is “green” as it is a low consumption wave generator that looks like a polyester sphere, floating on water, which generates in a safe and controlled way, artificial waves of stationary type, very reassuring for young people. It increases the number of visitors and is mostly used in aqua parks, public swimming pools, spas, campsites, hotels and resorts and is a delight and a lot of excitement for young and old.
